Hello, Your purchase includes Tomb Raider 2013 and 2016 (Rise of the Romb Raider). Since you don’t have a powerful setup soon, starting with 2016 makes sense. There’s no direct link between these titles, so you’re good to begin with 2016 then 2013.

There is connection but it doesn't matter which game you will play first.

How significant is this link? I don't want to overlook anything major.

The 2013 focuses on Lara's transformation into the Tomb Raider and shares some background on her past. By 2016, Lara has gained experience, and the game introduces subtle nods to earlier titles along with characters from those games. Once more, the experience shifts toward a distinct new direction.

I enjoyed Rise of the Tomb Raider even though I hadn’t played it in 2013. I felt well-informed throughout, so you should be just fine.

Yes, 2013 is structured similarly to the game before it.

Checking the typical session time for a standard player on 2016 and 2013. Looking at what others did to complete the game.

It required roughly 20 to 30 hours, but I aimed for 100% collectibles.

I received nine hours of gameplay time (only the story), but I haven’t explored the optional tombs yet. I’m considering replaying the game to aim for a perfect experience, since it’s been about sixteen months since my last playthrough.
