Tomahawk Max offers a gaming carbon option for enhanced performance.
Hey everyone, in a few days I’ll place the order and I’m trying to pick the right motherboard. Since I’m not sure about the differences, I’m considering the MSI B450 Tomahawk Max and the MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC. I’ll be using Ethernet, not WiFi, so that’s not a big factor. If anyone can help me decide which one to go with, I’d really appreciate it! Thanks a lot.
Choose the Tomahawk Max if you don’t want the built-in Wi-Fi. For a more budget-friendly option, opt for the A Pro Max or save even more by picking the Mortar Max, which includes two M.2 ports instead of just one.
Consider a X570 motherboard instead? Your CPU and GPU are compatible with PCIe Gen 4, and it includes a chipset PCIe slot. You have the option to choose either model. Review the motherboard specifications to confirm they meet your requirements.
MSI's B450 with MAX includes a bigger BIOS chip. The earlier models will run a simplified BIOS to support Ryzen 3000s. Keep an eye on the upcoming X570 Tomahawk release.
