I'm planning to visit Microcenter tomorrow to collect the ASRock B450M Pro4. I'm curious if it will work with 3600 unless it's running BIOS version 3.30 or higher. Would it be possible to check the BIOS before buying? I don't want to risk being unable to boot because the BIOS is outdated. Flashing it at Microcenter would be an option, but I'd rather avoid that. Is this more of a risk, or is there another way? I'm not sure if I can contact ASRock with my serial number for verification. Thanks ahead of time.

Currently, Microcenter will only carry boards compatible with Ryzen 3000 CPUs. The boxes will clearly indicate "Ryzen 3000 ready" if available. If not, you can still benefit from AMD's CPU loaner program to upgrade the BIOS.

Sure! Let me break it down in a different way. When you're chatting with an old Intel guy, you're diving into the history and details of the company's journey. It’s about sharing insights, experiences, and maybe even some behind-the-scenes stories that shaped the tech world.

The loaner option exists. You might also inquire with the seller if they are a dealer—they should be aware.
