I am trying to record my desktop using Alt-Z on my laptop. It is an MSI Katana GF66 with an RTX 3070 GPU. This error appears every time I try to use Alt-Z. I have searched online and watched tons of videos that don't actually work for me. I do not know how to solve this. I tried running DDU three times, changed my preferences, and enabled desktop recording, but nothing seems to help. Any advice would be very helpful right now
Use OBS Studio instead? 🤔 Link: https://obsproject.com/ The best screen capture software out there. It has tons of features and records everything on the screen, whether you're playing games or using a desktop. You can even choose exactly which part of the screen to record. Plus, you can set your own custom key commands to start or stop every action with it. For example, I've set my record/stop buttons to Ctrl + G. The best thing about this program is that it's completely free.
The problem you are facing is exactly what you see on your screen: if a game you want to play isn't on the list, you can't record it. That's all there is to know right now. Here is the official link showing which games work: https://www.nvidia.com/en-au/geforce/gef...nce/games/
I have recorded things on my desk all day long. I've recorded my desktop, my browser, and a lot of programs. Everything has worked for me there. But now when I try it on my laptop, nothing happens at all. It won't work on the laptop.
Right now, and only then if that happens: The single choice left is to reach out to Nvidia support. They made this thing and are the only people who know how to fix it, because Google's already had their hands full.
