Most likely, VSync was enabled. If your screen is limited to 60Hz, any frames beyond that point will cause issues like tearing and errors.

Oh wow, I wasn't aware that. The monitor runs at 60Hz and I have VSync enabled. I'll attempt to turn it off to check the outcome. Thanks!
