Oh, it's not the same as Steam. I didn't realize I wouldn't use Origin.
EA is a poor organization that ignores its audience and focuses solely on profit from users. Origin is also a bad company.
Titanfall relies on the Source engine. The source cannot replay compressed audio files. Naturally, one might debate Respawn or EA’s decision not to include every spoken language in the standard package. In reality, it comes across as quite troubling. Still, the actual download size is reported at 25GB.
It’s a lot of raw audio, but actually there aren’t that many files. There are around four identical lines, mostly saying things like “you lost, get to the ship and escape.” I haven’t played the game in a while. Still, the download is 25 gigabytes, so it’s not an enormous file.
Origin stands out compared to Steam with a more contemporary feel and better color representation. You can trade in games, receive free titles, and experience less downtime than on Steam—though you’ll need to actively use the Origins redemption service to maintain performance. It’s clear both platforms offer solid features, though they cater to different preferences.
