My parents' house is constructed with bricks and concrete, which affects WiFi performance in various rooms. I've set up a new AP in the living room, but I'm unsure whether to keep both APs sharing the same SSID and password or create separate networks. They currently use a Huawei EG8145V5 FTTH modem/router in the bedroom and a basic D-Link DIR 610 router in the living room, connected via cable. Huawei handles DHCP and firewall settings. The main needs are smartphones and Chromecasts.
