Tips for selecting a new GPU?
CPU: i3-12100f
Mobo: MSI pro b660m a
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600
Storage: WD Blue SN570 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME SSD
Power Supply: SeaSonic FOCUS Plus 650 Gold 650
GPU: EVGA KO GAMING GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB
Used for gaming at 1080p on a 32” 144hz monitor.
Playing games like cyberpunk, starfield, prey, Skyrim, fo4, the long dark is possible.
When gaming, CPU performance is good but GPU usage stays high (99-100%).
I’m looking to run games at higher quality or better settings.
Budget is approximately $475 Canadian.
Would it be better to upgrade to a 3060 or the 7600?
Any advice would be appreciated.
This is the sensible choice I would make.
Upon closer inspection, it appears to be out of stock (the best available price clearly doesn’t help).
Apologies for the confusion!
Your budget allows for a bit more flexibility, and this option could work well. I also suggest the RTX 5060 with 16GB, either standard or overclocked, though it's quite expensive. The RX version is more affordable now and might deliver better value for money, while the OC model is still a significant investment, not much more than the 5060 16GB version. The decision on funds and time remains up to you. I’d recommend the Sapphire Pulse, as its performance is solid and it offers a noticeable improvement over your initial picks.
