Yep. And 80 degrees.
It's true, I might have Google Chrome running, but honestly...

God knows why the load is 100%.

I don't need to worry about the card, it seems it's functioning properly. It looks like your system has an issue that's putting stress on the graphics card, affecting temperatures and fan speed. Check Task Manager to see if any GPU processes are consuming resources. Run a scan with antivirus or antimalware tools, and consider formatting and reinstalling Windows if needed.

I also thought about it. A brief check yesterday removed a few viruses, but it didn't solve the issue. I attempted a full scan earlier, though it took a long time and there were tasks left to complete. I was trying to keep working while it ran in the background, but it was slowing things down.

In Task Manager, it usually returns to normal, as if it understands I'm monitoring it and wants to resume. Right now, the GPU usage is around 4%. The only significant consumer of resources is Wallpaper Engine, which is using about 24% of the GPU.

If I were you, I'd begin by structuring C and observe the GPU performance on a clean setup. A clean system means no manufacturer applications for mice, keyboards, speakers, etc. Just the latest drivers would be beneficial, and a BIOS update would be useful if you haven't done it recently.

Yeah, I guess so. Again, not something I'm going to do just yet as I'm going away soon. But after trying a few things first, I might have to consider a reformat. I'll have to check if there's a BIOS update. Not sure I've done one yet. Thanks.
I installed Malwarebytes and did a full scan (took 12 hours!) and it did find some threats. Since removing those it's been perfectly normal. So far.

It's positive that the issue has been resolved, I wish it doesn't recur
