Hi,
here are the specifications I’m planning to upgrade. I’m focusing only on increasing the memory, CPU, and RAM. The GPU will remain unchanged at this stage, but I have a plan to upgrade it later. I’m aiming for DDR5 support.

I’m not very familiar with PC hardware lately, so my first question is: should I consider AMD or Intel? I don’t have a strong preference between the two and just want to find the best value for money.

My main goal is to boost performance. I’m not interested in overclocking or gaming; instead, the PC will be used for graphic applications like Photoshop and loading large language models. I was considering the Intel Core i9-13900K, but I’m open to alternatives that are more affordable without sacrificing too much speed.

I need at least 128GB of RAM. What would be the optimal setup for my requirements?

Thank you.

AMD would prefer not to switch to Intel until another generation or two (the 14th is their latest line). How old is your power supply unit in this setup, and what has it been running since then? You might be able to improve your system by replacing it with a 5800x3D if you can locate one for a reasonable price nearby, paired with a DDR4-3600MHz RAM and tight latency. What BIOS version are you using? Do you have a link to your current RAM configuration?

Thank you,
This wouldn't significantly boost performance, so I'll explore the DDR5 platform.
I should have mentioned that earlier. I'll update the post if possible.
My PSU is from 2022 and it's been used with the same PC.
RAM is Kingston HyperX 32GB Predator DDR4 3000MHz CL15 KIT HX430C15PB3K2/32
