Switch weapon after every shot, its faster than waiting for the full awp animation. Try lowering your sensitivity. Do not double zoom. Its wasted time. Do not walk much while zoomed-in. Maybe watch some pro players on youtube if possible or other known snipers. Practice daily on Deathmach servers or Awp server (community) daily for couple of hours.

This claim isn't accurate and represents a misunderstanding. It may seem quicker, but it doesn't actually improve speed.

It seems to work more quickly, which is useful when you're under pressure, like dealing with rushers using Awp. It's still a solid habit to adopt.

but it ISNT faster, if anything, its adding in an extra keystroke and moving your hands from the movement keys, and adding the potential to press the wrong key and fuck it up It takes the same time to fire the second shot, you are better off just staying on target and lettiing the animation run

It's beneficial to develop muscle memory instead of relying solely on animation. Adding more keystrokes is helpful without reducing your effectiveness against targets. A skilled sniper doesn't have to keep the player in focus; top players quickly switch weapons, making it appear as though they're not looking. When you stay tightly focused on the target, you miss opportunities to be vulnerable from the sides or behind.
