I was seeking suggestions about whether an alternative design could offer better efficiency. The current loop setup makes it hard to fully drain it, and I'm questioning if it's truly optimal. Perhaps the challenge lies in the drainage itself rather than the design. One potential adjustment is incorporating a drainage value at the bottom of the res. The aesthetics are excellent. The construction is lovely.
What questions should you ask yourself?
Can the drain be fully concealed?
Is the transformation worth it for a yearly draining and cleaning?
If you install a drain, think about using a quick connect coupler for the flexible line.
This way, you won’t have to check an empty different colored pipe every day.
