I recently sold my ASUS ROG ZEPHYRUS M16 laptop to acquire components for a build. I managed to purchase the GPU, case, fans, RAM, and AIO. I just received my CPU for Christmas (I5-12600K) and will add storage soon along with the Asus PRIME Z790-A. After assembling everything, I have a clear idea of adjusting BIOS settings. Now I need some startup advice and recommendations to avoid issues with RAM speeds and NVMe performance.

Activate XMP for the RAM, that should suffice unless you intend to overclock, of course.

Great idea. I believe the build doesn’t need overclocking, but I’m open to making adjustments later if needed.

It takes very little to configure the BIOS, just turn on XMP for everyday use and gaming. It’ll make setting up the system much easier. Enjoy your gaming!
