Tips for Choosing Gaming Laptops
I’m evaluating gaming laptops and seeking some feedback. The intended use is mainly for everyday office tasks, video and photo editing, and light gaming such as Microsoft Flight Simulator and several Forza titles.
I thought about purchasing a new PC, but these laptops are much more affordable. Their portability is also a big plus. For the two models with 8GB RAM, I’m considering upgrading to 16GB using this RAM kit. I already have spare hard drives and SSDs available for additional storage.

MSI Sword 15.6” – https://bit.ly/3uMZURV
Hey there,
From what I see, I'd go with the MSI model since it offers a more powerful CPU and GPU. Unfortunately, all three options only come with 8GB of RAM. So initially, I’d consider adding another 8GB to reach around 16GB, which is generally ideal for mainstream gaming.
Oops, just noticed you’re picking a 16GB configuration.
The RAM you mentioned is 2666, which might limit the performance of the Ryzen version a bit. Although the Legion doesn’t specify the exact RAM speed, I think it could comfortably reach 3200MHz.
