Hey everyone,
I’m planning to purchase a gaming laptop since my old AM3 desktop has finally stopped working after six years, and space is becoming a concern. I think a laptop would be a better fit. My budget is around £1000, and I have some preferences but don’t need too many suggestions. I’m considering the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 (AMD Ryzen 5-4600HS, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650Ti, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Windows 10). I’m not very familiar with laptops and would appreciate a dependable, high-performance machine that can handle most games smoothly at 60fps.
Kind regards

To achieve 60 FPS on that system, you may need to play numerous games at mid to low settings. The Acer Aspire 7 (A715-42G) offers a stronger CPU and is more affordable than the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14. Additionally, the Acer Predator Triton 300 (PT315-52) features a superior GPU (NVIDIA GTX 1660Ti), enhanced gaming CPU, and is priced around £900.

Sure, the previous suggestions seem promising. I don't think I need the highest settings; mid to high should work fine, around 60 fps would be perfect.

Since a laptop GPU can't be upgraded, you're looking for the quickest option you can afford. That way it remains practical for a longer time.

For top performance at 1080p with 60 frames per second, a GTX 1660 Ti is the essential choice. It offers similar performance to a GTX 1070 and can manage most demanding games at those settings without ray tracing. Cards below it require accepting lower framerate, resolution, or visual fidelity.

I understand you're referring to a situation where I also purchased a new laptop last month after working for four and a half years. I bought an Asus ROG Strix G512 Li, which cost about 830 dollars for me. Other models were either too expensive or not available in this store. You might also be interested in the ASUS TUF Dash, which has a Core i7 11th generation quad-core processor and an RTX 3060.

Hey everyone, thanks again for your help—it really means a lot. I managed to purchase an ACER Predator Helios 300 15.6" Gaming Laptop with Intel® Core™ i7, RTX 3060, and a 1 TB SSD for £1200. It was just a bit over my budget, but as mentioned before, having a better GPU extends its life, and I also got a nice cooling pad, so everything’s good to go. Appreciate all the advice once more.
Kind Regards
