You might manage up to 4.0ghz if you're lucky. The only way to crash the system is by overheating the processor—either by letting the CPU hit more than 100°C or applying excessive voltage (over 1.4 Volts, though it probably won't destroy it).

Boost frequency another 100MHz if it holds, keep going until it becomes unstable or you can't reduce the heat. Increase voltage until it reaches a steady state, or stop once the heat issue persists. Avoid exceeding 1.4vCore; I have an 1700 but only to test if higher clocks are possible.
