Hey everyone! I recently set up an old 3930k system for gaming. I experimented with overclocking and achieved stable speeds around 4.6 ghz at 1.28V. Even with a decent air cooler, temperatures stayed near 70°C during gameplay, while it idled at about 45°C. Performance jumped significantly, everything worked smoothly. However, I noticed something that’s bothering me. When I ran Cinebench R15, I got 1112MB/s at 4.6 ghz, whereas the stock 3930k only managed 1090MB/s. That improvement seems modest to me. Since this is my first experience with the HEDT platform, even though it’s an older system, I’d like to know if there are any BIOS tweaks I can make to boost performance further. There are many settings I’m unfamiliar with, and I just want to optimize it more. My motherboard is an Asus Rampage IV Formula, 16GB RAM, and a HX1000i power supply. Thanks!
