I’d halt the operation until you receive a replacement power supply, though there’s a risk of further harm.

It seems the PSU is still functioning. The Corsair CS650M is clean, but you haven't connected it yet. The repair guy suggested leaving it in if it works, which makes sense. Your photos should help confirm the issue.

Appearance doesn't give much clarity here. It seems your power supply unit might be struggling due to its shutdown behavior, which matches what you described. It's possible your GPU could also be affected. I’d suggest checking them individually on another machine if possible. Avoid that person again—an failing PSU can cause all components to fail eventually.

I don’t have access to another system, but I swapped out my PSU using the one shown in the pictures. The issue persists though—there was a faint, steady clicking sound (like a clicky button) while the old PSU was running, which is no longer present. It seems my GPU might be damaged now. I’ll probably visit a repair shop later to have them check everything with proper tools.

It wouldn't surprise me if the power supply unit caused your GPU failure, since PSUs frequently pull away other components during a short circuit or outage.

The update shows the GPU is functioning perfectly. The issue was actually the thermal paste, which had completely disappeared. Now everything is operating smoothly, though the Ethernet port seems affected by a surge after the lightning strike—likely causing damage. The GPU is running very well now.
