I'm heading to Micro Center next Tuesday with my grandparents. I need another 2x8GB RAM package since my usage often reaches 14-15GB when multiple apps are running (like WiiBaFu, Dolphin, Reggie, Discord, and many Chrome tabs). Right now I have a 2x8GB kit with 3200 MT/s C14 RAM. I’m looking for 2x8GB kits with 3200 MT/s C16 RAM. If I get the 3200 C16 model, will all my memory stick switch to that speed or try to match the 3200 C14? And if I opt for 3600 C16, will it lower its speed to 3200 but keep using C16? I haven’t found clear guidance on this yet.

your system should display multiple XMP profiles, letting you choose the preferred one at startup. it might default to 3200c14 unless you reset the CMOS, after which it will clear and automatically train.
