Hi, I just purchased a laptop around two weeks ago. The details look pretty basic—clock speed of 1.50 GHz, AMD A4-9120e RADEON R3, 4 compute cores, 2C+2G, and 4GB RAM (about 3.8GB free). It’s an AMD R3 Graphics APU, which means it’s not very powerful. If you’re looking to upgrade your budget around $500, there are some options worth considering.

Consider selling your current laptop to upgrade to something better. Laptops are tough to upgrade, so it’s unclear why you purchased a poor one (the specs suggest it was under $250) and spent $500 on upgrades instead of buying a new $750 model right away.

I'm unable to complete the sale because of the pandemic. The laptop was priced at $450 including taxes.

The planned budget was $1000 for a good laptop. Upgrading it further wouldn’t be enough. Did you believe it was possible?
