The issue with CMOS battery drainage mainly stems from changes in time. Most other problems are rare, and usually only one or two things appear at a time. The time zone error when switching between operating systems is still understandable. Regarding your motherboard BIOS, it does have its own time/date settings that you can adjust.

Windows 11 offers a "time zone automatically" setting. Are you close to a border or using a VPN? Disable this feature if it's active. The change isn't due to battery loss—it would revert to default at startup, usually within a few hours. This adjustment is software-based, not caused by malware, though it's possible. You might want to verify the time using the following command from an admin prompt: net stop w32time w32tm /unregister w32tm /register net start w32time w32tm /resync

I use a VPN and am attempting to verify its status. The issue arose when I tried to disable the automatic time setting, but Windows didn't save the changes after closing the window. It restarted them once I closed it or restarted the system. However, this doesn't occur consistently—it happens intermittently over several weeks with random occurrences. This makes it difficult for me to identify the root cause.

I confirmed the time zone was accurate. Both comments prompted me to re-examine and conduct some tests. My earlier calculation of the date and time intervals was incorrect. The issue appeared to stem from the extended period without power to the PSU. Interestingly, the BIOS didn’t reset, suggesting the clock was frozen. I plan to replace the CMOS battery, which online sellers refer to as a "laptop CMOS battery."

You can test the voltage with a multimeter; it should display 3 volts or indicate it needs adjustment.
