I'm nearing the end of this network adventure. Last week I upgraded my setup: AMD Ryzen 5 2600, Palit GeForce GTX970, 4GB RAM, 16GB storage, DDR4-3000, and a Samsung 860 EVO SSD. I connect via Wi-Fi using a D-Link DVA182 AC1200. Sharing the network with my neighbor works for streaming at 1080p60 with a 6500kb bitrate. After moving files and installing a fresh Windows 10 copy on the SSD, I tried Rocket League and a couple of games. About two minutes into the first game, the connection drops—red triangle appears. It happens sometimes; I restarted the connection and the game again. Or so I thought. I queued up for the next match, but after one minute it dropped once more. This is where things stand right now. Over the past four hours I've scoured every forum post for similar issues, tried various fixes, but still face the same red triangle. Drivers updated, Windows updated, restarted the router, reset to factory settings, and even uninstalled the latest updates from inside Windows... Still stuck. Thanks if you can help—I'm open to any advice.

My approach was: purchase a new system, assemble it, use the new SSD for game files and keep the old HDD for Windows and programs. Recently, I decided to clear the SSD, install a fresh Windows copy, and move non-Windows files onto it. Then I threw away the old HDD and replaced it with another 1TB drive I had on hand for gaming. This is when issues began with the Wi-Fi adapter. After swapping my Windows drive to the new SSD, I’m hoping someone can provide more guidance.

I've already attempted to remove all drivers from this adapter and reinstall it, but it didn't resolve the issue. I'm uncertain if a stable, older driver version exists—I'll need to investigate further. This adapter has been working well for about a year except for one incident where a Windows update caused problems. To fix it again, I had to uninstall the most recent quality/functionality update manually. Today's attempts have been unsuccessful, and I can't remove any more updates, whether quality or functionality-related. Perhaps searching for an earlier Windows installation tool and using that could help?

Additionally, visiting www.heise.de triggers small connection drops in my system, causing brief interruptions during gameplay.

Attempted restoring to a previous Windows installation, but nothing worked. It seems the issue may require a more powerful adapter. Any alternatives you know of?

It might be a hardware problem or an issue with the ISP. The ISP could be experiencing random problems, or Quality of Service might be occurring.
