Hello everyone! I really need a new keyboard because my K90 platinum has serious key chatter issues. I’m considering a custom or enthusiast model. Initially, I was thinking about the GMMK Pro, but then someone suggested the Keychron V1 and another recommended the Tiger80. What do you all think? It’s mainly for Discord and games, which I use a lot. I’m also considering Holy Panda switches to see if they make a difference.
My budget for the bear bones board lets me pick any of the three, but I want the best option that will last.

If you're unsure about diving into the DIY world...you might also explore the One 3 range of keyboards from Ducky. I’d offer suggestions on switches and keyboards (based on your previous comments), though my main concern is how music/sound/artwork/design can be personal, so preferences for switches, typing comfort, and even the noise a keyboard makes matter.
If you're just starting out, the Keychron V1 is a solid option for price, especially when fully assembled. It makes it easy to begin modifying the keyboard at a reasonable cost. Between the Tiger80 (TKL) and GMMK Pro (75%) as basic models, I would definitely choose the GMMK Pro. There are plenty of other choices available that you can switch between. The Tiger80 is impressive (on my wishlist), but for beginners, the GMMK Pro seems to offer more variety beyond the Group Buy market. I’ll add another item to your list.
For modding, the AKKO MOD 007 V2 (north-facing LEDs) and the AKKO MOD 007S V2 (south-facing LEDs) are worth considering.

The Holy Panda’s perform well with these two excellent options from either Glorious Panda’s or Drop Invyr Panda’s. I enjoy my Glorious Panda’s (they have a 96% rating), though many prefer the Drop models. If you’re serious about gaming, linear switches seem superior to tactile ones. You can't really go wrong with either, but
Speed Silvers are great for gamers, while Panda’s are versatile overall. As Lutfij mentioned, switch preferences depend on sound and typing feel—so experiment a bit.
Thank you! I’m not doubting anything. In fact, this is something I really want to pursue. Otherwise, I’d just revert to what I have now again. I’ve been considering it for about a year and I’m ready to take the leap. =) I’m a big fan of MX Browns, so I’m thinking about getting something similar.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm considering something similar to akain for MX Browns. I really enjoy the feel and sound, but I want something a bit more solid than clicky. The browns, in my opinion, fall somewhere in the middle. Even for gaming, I appreciate the bump they provide. I've also been watching a lot of videos about switches, and the Pandas look like a good match for me. However, from what I've seen, the sound seems to have a spring snap when the key is pressed, which creates a less clean audio. Have you noticed this issue?
Tactile switches could be worth checking out at Kiwi's...you can locate them on TheKey.Company. I prefer linears, so I purchased the Tangerine in both flavors and colors, plus a set of kiwis too. This keyboard hobby can get quite intense...
