Hi everyone, I wanted to check if the Asus ProArt motherboard, like the B550 with TB4, can work with Blackmagic Design's Ultra Studio Recorder that uses TB3. I know the naming can be confusing and USB conventions are tricky. Thanks for understanding, Eli. The post was about the TB aspect of the Asus ProArt specifically, not general TB issues. Let me know if it fits better elsewhere.

The board claims it supports Thunderbolt 4. It should work with Thunderbolt 3 if that’s the original functionality.

Thanks a lot! TB and USBs really cause a lot of trouble.

As long as you're using the same or updated TB or USB versions, the previous ones should still function. They continue offering backward compatibility while newer models become more advanced, which is beneficial. It's straightforward to check compatibility by reviewing your current version and whether your intended use aligns with older specifications.
