My PC is running smoothly and there are no problems expected. The specifications are listed: i9-9900KF, 32GB GSKILL, 3600 RAM, RTX graphics, Gigabyte Aorus 2080 ti, and a 3-inch M.2 drive. I purchased this motherboard because it includes a Thunderbolt ™ AIC port. After installing the Gigabyte GC Alpine Thunderbolt card, I needed to enable it in BIOS. However, when checking the peripherals section, the Thunderbolt™ option isn’t visible. Since the board supports Thunderbolt, I’m puzzled as to why it doesn’t appear. I’m not very tech-savvy, so my guess is that all three M.2 slots might be full. The BIOS version listed matches Gigabyte’s site, but under the Thunderbolt Card page it shows a different version (F11 or newer). This seems odd because others with similar BIOS versions don’t have this issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
It's tough to pinpoint the exact location. You might download the manual, look for "Thunderbolt" across the pages, or contact Gigabyte directly—they should be able to help. I own a Z270 Asrock Taichi board with a Thunderbolt card; I recall it took some time to locate the BIOS setting that activates the TB port, which wasn't in an obvious spot. Keep exploring your BIOS options.
