Thunderbolt 3 connection issues with Gigabyte B550 Vision D
Hi everyone, I just set up a new PC with Thunderbolt 3 support, but the port isn’t functioning. We’re attempting to connect an Apollo Twin X to the Thunderbolt 3, but it’s not working. Additionally, the drivers from Gigabyte haven’t resolved the issue either.
Do you have the Displayport in port linked? You must establish a link from your graphics card into the Displayport in port for Thunderbolt to function properly.
Absolutely, it's perfectly fine even when it isn't showing something.
Hello, I see you're facing the same issue with your UAD Satellite OCTO Thunderbolt 3. You mentioned connecting the graphics card into the display port on your motherboard, but it seems you're asking about using DisplayPort 2 for this purpose. Let me clarify that for you.
Hello, I'm joining the conversation. My Samsung UW Thunderbolt is working perfectly. I also have an Apple Thunderbolt Display from 2016, but it isn't showing up. Anyone tried using it? Also, does this setup work with two Thunderbolt displays in general?
Hey, I see what's happening. After updating the BIOS from F2 to F4, the connection might be affected. Try connecting the display directly to the motherboard instead of through Thunderbolt. If that works, it could be the dock or its drivers causing the issue. Let me know what you find!
