Thrustmaster 458 Spider issue after removal from Windows settings
Hi everyone, I recently brought my Thrustmaster 458 Spider wheel back to life after swapping out the potentiometer to resolve some steering problems. It functioned flawlessly at first. I planned to use x360ce on Windows to see if it could get the wheel working again. (Since I last used it, I’ve shifted focus to PC gaming.) For other reasons that came up recently, I couldn’t get the wheel to behave as expected, so I opened Device Manager and removed it (or the Xbox Gamepad since it was detected). After that, the wheel and its buttons stopped being recognized by x360ce. In settings, the device changed from showing the gamepad icon to a generic computer/phone symbol. Only the buttons responded in simple Windows environments like the Xbox Game Bar. When I plugged the wheel into my Xbox One S, it worked for the buttons but not for steering or pedals. I’m unsure what to do next, so any advice on getting the wheel back in action would be greatly appreciated.
