I have a 2021 Zephyrus g14 equipped with a 5900hs and a 3060 mobile. The GPU performance seems odd, boosting to 1.6–1.9 GHZ before clocks fluctuate between 1.5 and 0.9 GHz, averaging around 1.1 GHz. Initially, I suspected VRMs overheating, so I replaced the laptop with K5 Pro and NTH1 drivers. This resolved thermal issues, keeping the GPU below 67°C and the CPU at about 85°C. Trying DDU on the NVIDIA drivers and reinstalling helped slightly, but only a modest 100 MHz boost in core clocks. Further checks via HWinfo revealed the GPU was throttling power. All tests were run in turbo mode, leading me to suspect the CPU was consuming excessive power, forcing the GPU to limit its speed. I capped the CPU at 35W and tweaked fan curves, but the issue persisted. Now I wonder if Windows itself is managing the boost behavior abnormally. Any suggestions before a full reinstall?

The review notes a strict 60W TDP cap for the GPU, with up to 80W possible via Nvidia Dynamic Boost. It suggests enabling this setting by default and confirms whether it's active. If enabled, the GPU is operating at its intended power limit, indicating no further adjustment is feasible.

Typically this makes sense, but it doesn’t reach the 60W TDP threshold I should have noted. It usually stays between 45 and 50 watts. I haven’t tested DDU on the igpu drivers yet—I’m going to give it a try. Probably won’t make much difference, but it’s worth a look.
