Thank you for your input. My choice between Threadripper and Epyc comes from having most components ready. For instance, I can't connect my M.2 drives on that system unless I purchase a PCIe express card, which brings me back to my initial issue due to insufficient lanes. With Epyc, I'm confident I'll have enough bandwidth now and in the coming years. The only reason I'm thinking about Threadripper is its faster clock speeds.
