Begin the motherboard and check for any short circuits on the pins. It may not pass POST, but starting it with the ignition can provide insight.

Threadrippers are quite simple to install incorrectly. Give it another try and check if it functions. It works fine. A 5700 offers the same speed and uses significantly less power. It might be the PSU that’s the issue—the device you’re using is generic, which can cause performance problems. The threadripper is much more sensitive to these issues and shuts down quickly to protect the system.

Have you attempted disconnecting your GPU, storage, and using only one RAM stick? Let's check if turning it off and on helps with the fan noise before checking the display.

Hello there! Yes, you're using a 1950x in your Unraid tower, which is great. Are you checking that the manual specifies placing one stick of RAM in the first slot?

Hello! The PSU is functioning properly, I tested it with a working one. It could be that the PSU is too weak or outdated.

Hello! Great to hear you're excited about setting up your containers and Unraid server. As per the manual, it should be configured in dimm_a1. You've also experimented with various RAM amounts.

Hey! Everything else is gone except the CPU and power supply, and it’s not working. There’s no storage, no GPU, no fans—just nothing. See the photo you mentioned?

I’ll give it a shot! Are there any unique signs to watch for? Also, if the CPU isn’t properly secured, could that cause the problems you’re experiencing? You’ve confirmed all power cables are intact and pins aren’t bent—thank you for double-checking!

Good And to confirm, you don't see any activity when you try to boot? Nothing on the Qcode read out? If so, I'd say the board is fried and you should get your money back
