I experience a noticeable coil whine in the game and it gets worse during GPU load, even when using the menu. I also faced unexpected PC shutdowns. Could this be related to my PSU? My current setup includes an i5-11400 Z590F, a Strix Mobo 32, GSKILL Tridentz RGB, and a GTX 6700 XT. While playing, the GPU heat rises to around 68-70°C, and the CPU drops to 55-58°C. The PSU might be struggling under these conditions. Also, I’ve heard the Thor 850W model is decent but it sounds quite loud—sometimes I can hear the same whine through my headphones, which seems unusual.

there’s nothing you can do besides swap it out. psu and gpus can handle that. it’s not a warranty either, so solutions are limited. generally, if there’s a reputable company they’ll work with, but most won’t. Edited October 13, 2023 by thrasher_565
