Hi All.
I understand this might not catch the attention of many due to the limited budget, but...
I’m planning to bring my old i5-3570K into the modern era, which means swapping out the motherboard, CPU, and RAM.
With a budget around £200 and based in the UK, I’m leaning toward AMD but wondering whether AM4 or AM5 is the right choice. I was thinking of getting a Ryzen 5 5600X paired with a B550 motherboard (or something similar), but the decision to choose AMD comes from the fact that these sockets remain relevant for a longer time.
That said, AM4 is no longer available, so should I consider an AM5 board and a 7600 chipset? I’m not sure if any of these options fit within my budget, though I might be able to stretch it to £250 if I wait a few weeks.
Looking forward to hearing your opinions. Clearly, any of the CPUs mentioned here will outperform the i5-3570K, and I was also thinking about the I5-12400F if the socket situation becomes unsustainable.

The 12th gen model offers competitive pricing, with DDR4 being significantly more affordable. The AM5 variant exceeds your expanded budget. Graphics options start at £12400. PCPartPicker's list includes the CPU, motherboard, memory, and totals £238.69 after fees.

Thank you for your reply. I'm using an RX580 which might face challenges with the suggested upgrades, but I need to begin since I'm playing modded Minecraft and a CPU upgrade seems more urgent. I'm uncertain about a Micro ATX MOBO and believe I'll require a full-size case.

Micro ATX board is compatible with an ATX case.
You only need an ATX board if you intend to add more than a GPU to the system.
RX580 will perform adequately without any issues, maintaining its current constraints.
A faster CPU can improve low-end performance by about 1% and slightly boost FPS.
The GPU affects maximum FPS and image quality based on your settings.
