I'm assembling a PC using salvaged components, sticking to what I already owned or found on Craigslist. I'm not bothered by settings—just getting functional. For games I want to play, I need: Fallout 4, GTA 5, Fry Cry 3, 4, and Primal The Witcher 3, plus Rise of the Tomb Raider. I'm open to any configuration that works.
You can run them using the specifications provided if you're comfortable skipping high or ultra. In GTA it varies depending on how many options you have, but it's noticeably better than when I first set up mine last year. I tested Far Cry 3, GTA V, and Fallout 4 with my old rig just before upgrading; they ran smoothly at low and medium settings with a solid frame rate.
He's done a solid upgrade from DDR2 to DDR3, though the speed boost wasn't huge and it didn't save much. Still, in my opinion, it's a good move given the specs you mentioned.
i was running fallout 4 on a a8-5600k, 8gb ram and a gtx 750ti on high with a lot of the hi-res mods and about 15 mods in total, your system is outclasses my old one in all facets, all the other games ran decent, idk about tomb raider i gave the system away before it came out. you should have no problem
