I recently put in my new Ryzen 7 3800x with the Asrock x470 Taichi Ultimate board two days ago. I also added a new M.2 SSD, extra RAM, and a fresh water cooler. Everything functioned perfectly for two days until yesterday when I restarted the system and it wouldn’t boot into Windows. No updates or changes were made before this issue started. After a quick restart, it finally loaded after about 20 minutes. Since then, I’ve been searching online for solutions but haven’t found a fix. Now I’m stuck trying to load into Windows after an hour of loading. If I enable Safe Mode, it works without issues. I’ve tested various configurations—swapping RAM, updating BIOS, reinstalling Windows—but nothing seems to help. I’m considering whether there’s another approach before looking for a different motherboard.

It usually indicates a problem with the drive or operating system. Make sure your connections are secure and see if other devices work. Also, are several drives running alongside different Windows versions?
I've verified every cable connection. My M.2 NVMe SSD is properly installed on the motherboard. I've removed all my hard drives and only started up from the SSD. I've also tried using an older SATA SSD and booting from that, but the issue persists. After two days of stable operation, it suddenly failed after a restart. Others online mention similar problems with this motherboard and the new Ryzen 3000 CPU. In the BIOS, Windows Boot Manager is listed as the primary boot option for the SSD, followed by a secondary drive. However, when I try to boot from another drive, the system prompts me to use another bootable device because it doesn't recognize Windows there. Despite the SSD working well for two days, it now shows a black screen with the Asrock logo and a loading circle.
Your PC is finally starting after restarting multiple times, but it took a long time—about 40 minutes. You might want to try reinstalling your old CPU to check if that resolves the issue. Even with the 3.40 BIOS, some users advise against using other Ryzen CPUs from that series.
Have you executed memtest86? Also, did you test the system's performance with a 2x8GB storage?
didn't test memtest86 yet. i attempted 2x8gb and it worked in windows, but loading with 4x8gb still took 30-40 minutes even with just 16gb ram.
I essentially changed all components except the motherboard, CPU, and power supply. Regardless of the setup I use, the outcome remains consistent—10 to 60 minutes of loading before reaching the Windows login or an endless loading screen. I’m currently running memtest64, and so far no errors have been detected.
