I’m seeking your advice on upgrading my system. Here’s what I have:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X (8 cores / 16 threads)
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti
RAM: 32 GB DDR4 Corsair (4x8 GB) at 3200Mhz
Motherboard: MPG B550 GAMING EDGE WIFI (MS-7C91)
Power supply: Corsair RM850X (850W)
Watercooling: Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX
SSD: Samsung SSD 980 pro (2Tb)
It’s been three years, and I’m currently running at 1440p. I’m considering upgrading to an RTX 5070 or 5070 Ti when a good price is available. I’d like to know if my setup can handle the new GPU without becoming a bottleneck. If not, what components should I upgrade alongside the graphics card for a balanced build?

A bottleneck might occur at 1080p resolution. At 2K it's around 10%, which isn't too severe, and it drops significantly in 4K.

I recently purchased an RX 7800xt paired with an Intel 10th Gen i9-10850K, which will replace the RTX 3080. This is intended for 4K performance. I’m hoping it will function properly and help me save several thousand dollars on a new build.

The word 'bottleneck' could be misleading. A 'limiting factor' might fit better.
Can your CPU manage the 5070? Absolutely. Will it perform well at 1440p? Definitely. Will you enjoy using it? Certainly. The 5800x remains a solid choice for gaming. Of course, at lower resolutions other CPUs might run slightly faster. But if you're achieving around 150 fps with your current setup, will you really notice the difference compared to a newer model that hits 170 fps? Probably not. Still, other elements matter too—some titles are more CPU-intensive, while others rely more on GPU power.
I recently upgraded from a 3060ti to a 4070 Super. Normally I'd wait for a generation jump, but this was a big change. The difference is clear. My 5600x/4070S pushes my monitor to its limits (170hz) when all visual effects are active. I also use DLSS in supported games, and I don’t use FG in most titles—except for one game, Indian Jones. That game has built-in RT features that can’t be disabled. FG helps smooth the experience, especially since it’s a single-player game with less intense pacing.
PSU fits perfectly here. You might want to use the 12VP 2x6 pin adapter with it, though they function excellently.
Edit: The power adapter for the GPU comes with the GPU itself—no separate purchase required.
