Generally yes, though not universally. According to what I know, the main distinction between DDR3 and DDR3L is that DDR3L operates at reduced voltage levels. That could potentially make it compatible, but I wouldn’t rely on it without certainty.

It's a lower voltage DDR3 chip, operating at 1.35 volts instead of the standard 1.5 volts.

If it isn't a sodimm, it might function similarly to what @Mateyyy mentioned, but it could differ from what @Zando Bob suggested. The best approach is to test it.

The DDR3L modules I've tested work well with DDR3 as indicated in their documentation.
