Hello, your Ryzen 5 3600 is performing well overall, but it appears to be loading just one core in games (core #2), which raises the temperature on that core to around 90°C. This makes sense if only that core was active, yet Cinebench shows all cores at full load with temperatures returning to normal. The other cores stay near 100% load but max out at about 50°C, while this one stays above 90°C even under moderate conditions. I’ve checked temperatures using HWMonitor and replaced the cooler along with the thermal paste, but the issue persists. Someone mentioned a faulty temperature sensor could be the cause. The shop suggested an aftermarket cooler, which aligns with my concern since every core exceeding 90°C under load is unusual. I’m a bit disappointed because this hasn’t happened with any Intel product before. I regret choosing the Ryzen model. Thanks for your help!
Thanks for your response. I ran the program during a few tests, and it seems to average out rather than show individual core temperatures. No problem—I’m aware which core was affected. I stopped the tests because the temperature appeared to continue rising. Since it stayed above 90 degrees, I took off the back plate and used rubber washes to separate the cooler from the screw. Moving it closer helped, but the cooler still bottomed out without any improvement in temperature. Appreciate the help!
I just tried to fix the problem by updating the bios, but it didn’t help. It seems the system might have a defect from the start. I’ll visit the store tomorrow to replace it. Let me know what happens. Thanks.

When relying on HWMonitor to display per-core temperatures, be cautious. Ryzen doesn’t provide separate core temps, unlike Intel. For precise measurements, use Ryzen Master.
I talked to a tech recently and they mentioned the infinity fabric includes its own temperature sensor. They explained it appears to gather readings from both the core and the fabric itself, merging them in most systems. It’s an accurate temperature reading, though only half of what you’d expect.
I own a Gigabyte x570 gaming xMotherboard, and I believe many users encounter this problem with these latest chips. I’m interested in using Ryzen Master.
