Hello, checking if 3200 MHz RAM works on your ASUS Prime B350M-A MOBO with a Ryzen 7 1700 is a good question.
It worked okay but wasn't designed for that speed. You're lucky to get 3200MHz with the CPU. A few of us might not be able to handle it.
The setup could offer better performance compared to an i5-4690K with 1600 MHz.
Also, which motherboard are you using? A few models aren't compatible with DDR4-3200. Check the specifications for the motherboard.
mobo should be okay. ram performance is generally fine too. you might not hit 3200, but adjusting to 3000 or 2933 should work. if you haven’t purchased the mobo yet, it might be worth rethinking. b350 models usually have low voltages and could struggle with a r7 1700.
