Hello, based on the title, I have a system with an FX8370 processor. It’s been experiencing overheating and shutdowns after installing AMD Overdrive and running tests. At idle, it maintains full speed (Turbo: 4320MHz @1,425V and turbo off:4019MHz @1,35V). Temperatures stay around 40°C near the thermal limit, dropping to -20°C before shutting down—since the margin is at 60°C, it reaches about 80°C. I haven’t overclocked it before; everything is set to default in BIOS. I’ll share a photo of the idle state. Here are the specs: CPU – AMD FX8370, GPU – Nvidia 1050Ti, Motherboard – Gigabyte 12dc1-amd9se-250cr, RAM – 16GB DDR3, PSU – Thermaltake 470W, OS – Windows 11.

In the advanced settings, the processor needs to operate at a minimum of X% power.

It looks like everything is functioning properly at full capacity. Do you have the stock cooler installed, and when was the last time you replaced the thermal paste?

I use a stock FX5300 cooler, and the paste is brand new—just applied about two months ago. It's MX-6 paste.

I've used this system since 2020, though I realize the cooler might not be sufficient; it didn't overheat until 2022.

I reinstalled Windows 10 and disabled Turbo, it appears to have resolved the issue.
