This processor can reach very high temperatures when idle.
Just set up my Ryzrn 5 3600x and the cooling fan was making a loud jet noise. I checked the temperatures using the links you shared, and here’s what I found: https://gyazo.com/e0c2e1b3e18dd835b9ce34f955cc9834. I only had Google, Discord, Task Manager, and Core Temp open.
The product details are available on Amazon. It's a Corsair tempered glass mid-tower gaming case in black, priced at 220t.
Temperature is around 56 degrees at idle with an AMD CPU, and the stock cooler appears to be working fine. Perform a stress test to observe peak temperatures under load.
So 56c is not great but not horrible, my 3900X is running between 42-45c idle. So in order: 1. Use Ryzen Master to check temp, not third party apps as some don't report the temps on Ryzen CPU's properly. 2. Verify you have good ventilation in your case, you want it as close to your ambient room temperature as possible. Install more case fans if needed. 3. Verify you have a decent cooler and its properly pasted to the CPU. 4. Ensure the direct the CPU cooler is pulling air from. Should be pulling from the case in-take area and pushing it towards your case exhaust fans. Also keep in mind your room temperature matters. If the room is warm then there is only so much those fans are going to be able to do.
I fixed it for a reason, but it got overclocked. Now I’ve unoverclocked it and it’s running smoothly at 42°C.
