The 5500 XT with an i3 10100 only works with PCIe 3.0 x16, while the 5500 XT supports PCIe 4.0 x8. This mismatch may cause performance issues or instability.

5500XT supports x8 PCIe 3.0, which should provide sufficient speed for the card.

What is the drop in performance? You only want the frames at 75 fps or higher.

It's unclear if it's noticeable in tests, but you should be concerned about slower cards. Faster ones are still identifiable.

A 15% drop in frames per second is quite noticeable. This tends to happen with cards that have limited bandwidth like 5500, 6400, 3050 and 4060. You really don’t have much option. I’d still prefer to play at a higher FPS even with that loss than without a GPU. If it’s the 4GB model, things will get worse.

Your monitor doesn’t require 75 fps to run smoothly. You can play at any frame rate below that without issues. I own a 4K 120Hz display, yet many games don’t reach that speed.

I selected a subpar video to support my argument. A 15% performance gap shouldn't appear on a low-end card. With the 6600XT, the drop stays under 5% on average. https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-r...ng/25.html From 4.0 x8 to 3.0 x8 that's the case. Higher-end cards usually need more PCIe bandwidth, as expected. Techpowerup appears reliable.
