Hi, I'm working on assembling a new PC with a Ryzen 5 4600G. It's not turning on properly despite everything seeming correct. I'm using a Pico PSU and Gskill Ripjaws DDR4-2133 RAM. The monitor works fine, so I tried both HDMI and DP connections to see if the image displays. When I connect the power pins, the CPU fan spins normally but nothing else happens. I've already tried: reseating the CPU, testing all RAM stick combinations, and resetting CMOS by jumping the pins. I've also swapped in another set of RAM (Gskill Ripjaws DDR4-3200). All parts are new. It seems there might be a compatibility issue between the RAM and the Ryzen 5 4600G.

It's possible your motherboard BIOS doesn't recognize the 4000-series Ryzen CPUs. Are you using a standard ATX power supply? It has a cable outside the case and an adapter for the 24-pin ATX header. Can you try connecting your system to a regular ATX power supply directly on the motherboard? This might help confirm compatibility.

You can verify the correct version by checking your Pico PSU specifications. Since you're using a 12V power supply for the case, ensure it matches the requirements listed on the PSU. If everything else checks out and your monitor works, the issue likely lies elsewhere.

After checking, I discovered a mistake. The pico-psu uses a 4-pin connector, while the motherboard has 8 pins. I thought they wouldn’t match, so the CPU didn’t get power. But I found out you can connect just 4 pins, which fixed the issue. Now it starts up but doesn’t show any image. It makes a faint noise while trying to boot, then stops after a few seconds before restarting. Should the CPU need all 8 pins for proper power? I’m not sure. Any suggestions?
