Recently installed. No other parts to try. This board runs MSI PRO B550m with EVGA WIFI, 450W, W3 Ryzen 5 5600, Teamgroup T-Create x2, 8+8 RAM sticks, 3200 RX 6400-GT 1030. It performs its tasks and limitations clearly. Without the CPU it powers up, fans activate, the CPU light blinks, RGB lights up briefly. After a short time it restarts but then completely stops. Both the motherboard and CPU were purchased from Newegg. My main thought is the CPU is dead. Would it even power on if it was faulty? The PSU seems to supply power, so maybe the connectors are damaged? I noticed my 20+4 pin connector is missing a pin from the cable, though I’m not sure if that’s typical. All cables are securely connected. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I've tested nearly everything one at a time with various slot combinations. The noisy spot is the VRM area next to the CPU—it's producing clicking, static, and faint electrical sounds, almost like a low-frequency jackhammer. My friend, who knows more, suggested it could be the motherboard itself. While a faulty CPU isn't impossible, it seems unlikely the motherboard is the source. The PSU powers both the motherboard and CPU. My friend recommended returning it to MSI for an RMA instead of purchasing from Newegg; I just need to submit the request. Would you like advice on whether to proceed with a return or another retailer? Thanks for your help.

It shouldn't be producing sounds when it's brand new.
