I’m raising this post since I’m facing the exact same problem. The Dell monitor I use (model P2213) works perfectly in BIOS, and on my older Dell SE198WFP connected via DP to DVI, there’s never been a display issue. Even with the Asrock RX 6600 connected through the same setup, no problems have arisen. This suggests it might be an AMD or driver-related issue rather than a Dell-specific problem.

Use an HDMI cable and a monitor to boot the PC. After it starts, open Windows at the desktop. Connect your main monitor using DisplayPort while keeping the HDMI plugged in. Switch to the monitor with a DDU adapter and reinstall drivers. This issue occurred even with my RTX3090TI. It seems related to DisplayPort functionality—HDMI worked fine before. Perhaps the cables or adapters are the problem. I’ve tried several cables, including a 30$ DisplayPort 1.4a, but it still worked for me. What operating system are you using? I’m on Windows 11.
Thanks for the update. I understand the situation better now. My system is behaving oddly after reinstalling Windows, especially since GPU drivers are missing. The monitor keeps looping Power Save, which suggests some drivers might have been auto-installed. I’m considering switching to a DP-to-DVI cable just in case, but I’ll try the reinstall again to confirm it works.
