I've owned a 4790K for about six years now, and I think it's time to upgrade to something newer. I'm considering a Ryzen 5600X, 32GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB, and an Asus ROG STRIX B550-F gaming motherboard. I plan to pair this with my current Kraken X61 and an Asus RTX 2080 STRIX. The goal is to merge all the RGB features into one setup so no extra programs need to launch at startup. I just want a smooth experience—press power, everything turns pink, and it's done. I'll still use NZXT CAM regardless of any additional RGB software, which should handle the CPU cooler control. Would combining the RGB boards work better together? Also, anyone know if the Trident Z RGB will keep its color settings after booting from BIOS or loading? It would be great if it did, though it doesn't really affect my decision.
The Asus board supports Asus Sync for both the main backlights and the RAM. It works quite smoothly out of the box. Do you have any RGB fans installed, or are they the sole RGB elements in your setup?
I’m focusing on the GPU, motherboard, RAM, and CPU cooler. I may include case LEDs later, but I thought I could manage power from the GPU header. Appreciate the advice!
