Hey everyone! I recently received a new Bravo 15 and everything seemed normal at first. But about two days ago I noticed the battery drops to 99% even without using power, then shows up as charging again. It resets the settings to plugged in. Last night I discharged it to 95% and plugged it back in, but after 12 hours it's still showing as charging at 95%. It seems to decrease by a bit every couple of days. I switched outlets, checked the charger, but the issue persists. Do you have any suggestions? Is there an app or program I can install to monitor the adapter's wattage compared to the battery's normal discharge? This isn’t a major problem right now, but it means I can’t safely use it on battery power until I recover the charge.

The laptop might still charge even when off, but it’s drawing more power than the charger can supply. I’ve encountered this problem several times. For monitoring, consider using HWiNFO—it tracks power usage and can help identify issues. It’s not perfect, but it’s a useful tool among others.

It doesn't cost anything when it's turned off, which is awesome! I'll look into it.

Are you within the acceptable timeframe for returns? You mentioned it's new, so is it still covered by the warranty? It might be that you received a faulty version. While checking, avoid delaying too much and report the problem before the deadline, or you might miss it.

Some laptops include battery management tools that limit charging to around 70%. This is meant to protect the battery over time, but it feels a bit odd. I’d rather have my battery fully charged before using it. Search for similar software on your machine. If you don’t find anything comparable, consider letting the battery drop to about 50% before charging. You might not be able to charge it further if you start charging when it’s already near 95%. Try using the free Battery Bar Basic app for tracking your battery levels.
