I recently purchased an ASUS ROG STRIX X570-E gaming motherboard, and some details remain unclear. Regarding RAM, the manual inside the box mentions support for 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB unbuffered DIMMs. It seems incompatible with 32GB sticks—especially since I intended to use larger capacities for my demanding workload. The Corsair kit I considered claims compatibility up to 128GB, which would require 32GB sticks, but the motherboard only supports 128GB if you use 32GB modules. I’m unsure about the exact specifications and feel uncertain about spending around 350 euros if it won’t even work. Anyone has any insights on this? Also, I’m curious about M.2 compatibility—I was hoping for an Adata XPG SX8200 Pro 1TB M.2 slot, but I don’t see the compatibility range listed clearly.
The memory kit you ordered is 2x32GB, meaning four units total would be 4x32GB, which should suffice. An SX8200 Pro will function, as will any NVMe drive I can recall, such as PCI-E 4.0 models—provided they operate at full speed since X570 supports 4.0.
