Hi everyone, I’m dealing with an issue where my new motherboard only works with an Athlon 200GE. After trying several variants—including 2600x, 2200g, 4650g, and even a 5600—I still can’t boot. It seems the problem might be related to the socket pins or the CPU not being recognized properly. I’ve checked the pin layout but don’t have a detailed chart for each CPU model. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked for any harm to the chips or the socket? It might be worth searching for a BIOS update.

Bios is completely refreshed, including Bios Flashback and via Bios with the Athlon installed. How do I verify any issues with the chips and the socket? Everything looks normal visually. A nearby repair shop also tested it using a multimeter and confirmed the socket is receiving voltage correctly. They checked both the Athlon and the 4650g.

The warranty has lapsed, which is why I'm continuing to attempt a solution. If all else fails, I may build a simple internet-capable PC using an Athlon processor.

Are there additional motherboards available for testing the chips? This will help determine if the issue lies with the motherboard or the CPU.

Sure. I verified everything using two other B450M units I own. All CPUs are functioning properly—though one of the 4650Gs could have minor memory issues, it still works.

The issue lies with the motherboard itself. Are the CPU power connectors intact?

The EPS connector isn't visible to me. I've tested both 4 and 4+4 types. As noted earlier, a local technician confirmed power reaches the socket correctly. Perhaps an issue lies with the socket pin connectors themselves.
