A week ago I replaced most components of my PC except the case and GPU. I planned to move the M.2 SSD from my Acer laptop into my PC, thinking it would work out of the box. But when I tried to boot, it asked for a bootable drive instead. Someone could possibly assist? Details: Motherboard model MSI B550-A, OS Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS, M.2 SSD encrypted with LUKS. I had to flash it onto the board to version 7C56vAH since my CPU wasn’t supported by the old driver and the PC wouldn’t boot. My Windows 10 is on a SATA HDD, but the system won’t start or show up even after removing the HDD. Anyone know why this is happening? I suspect the issue lies in the motherboard configuration—my laptop boots Ubuntu normally. I’ve experimented with switching between CSM and UEFI while toggling secure boot, but Ubuntu still doesn’t appear as a boot option when I switch to CSM.
