I purchased a new motherboard from eBay to upgrade my gaming rig, focusing on the motherboard, CPU cooler, and GPU. I connected everything except the HDMI for monitor, CPU, RAM, and power supply. When I press the power button, the LED lights up and the RGB flashes briefly before turning off, but the system remains inactive with no display. I've experimented with various RAM types and brands, as well as two different power supplies. Additionally, I attempted to run the display through the GPU, but it still doesn't work.

The cable appears to be in poor condition and could be damaged.

I would mount the MMO on simple cardboard, and link only the essentials, with precision. This setup is handy for troubleshooting and you can create some useful photos. Edited December 8, 2024 by leclod

I've seen it tested in this way before. I also attempted to reset the CMOS without any results.

You're asking if the message refers to an HDMI cable, and you've already tested two different cables and monitors.

With my other PC, the screen shows RGB when the mouse and keyboard lights up, but the keyboard never lights up while connected—just the mouse for a brief moment. I’m not sure if this helps. I also have some GSKill Ripjawsi who could check for RAM compatibility; I’d expect it to either light up the RAM or play beeps from the speaker.

I chose to take out the CPU and examine the socket closely with a magnifying glass. There were some strands of hair and small bits of lint, which I cleared away before reinstalling the CPU. It started up once but then repeated the issue. I’m unsure if there was a faulty connection on the pins, so I carefully loosened the CPU, held it firmly in various positions while applying pressure, and when I gently pushed it to one side during clamping, it booted successfully and has remained stable afterward. It passed the 95 stress test and showed normal performance in Cinebench. I even managed to overclock it significantly without any problems.
